Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Service Manager to lead our Heavy Equipment service department. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Heavy Equipment diagnostics and equipment maintenance, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As a Service Manager, you will oversee daily operations, manage staff, and ensure that our customers receive the highest quality of service.
Duties
* Reach monthly Service and Parts sales plan
* Organize professional way Parts and Attachments inventory with 100% addresses and no deviations in the inventory.
* Supervise and coordinate the activities of service technicians and support staff.
* Manage service writing processes to ensure accurate documentation of customer requests and Heavy Equipment issues.
* Oversee Heavy Equipment diagnostics and provide guidance on repairs and maintenance services.
* Facilitate tire services, oil changes, and other routine equipment maintenance tasks.
* Conduct equipment estimating for repairs and parts needed, ensuring transparency with customers.
* Promote up selling of services and products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
* Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean working environment.
* Address customer inquiries and resolve any service-related issues promptly.
Experience
* Proven experience in Heavy Equipment service management or a similar role is preferred.
* Strong knowledge of Heavy Equipment diagnostics, diesel engine repair, and equipment maintenance practices.
* Familiarity with tire and track service procedures and alignment techniques is advantageous.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with customers and team members.
* Demonstrated sales skills with an aptitude for up selling services to meet customer needs.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
