What are the responsibilities and job description for the Language Instructor position at Orbis?
Orbis is actively hiring a Language Instructor to join our team. You will be responsible for supporting a government agency and your office with language instruction, translation, transcription, and/or interpretation services.

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Education and Experience

- Work 40 hours a week spending approximately 20 hours of teaching and 20 hours of lesson development, student assessment, and testing.
- Instructor should be prepared to work with students at various levels to effectively teach language fundamentals as well as develop vocabulary and skills.
- Work under the direction of experienced senior trained instructors.
- Instructors are required to complete specific sponsor training on teaching mission-focused foreign language skills and conducting foreign language testing in order to become certified according to Sponsor standards
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Education and Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher is required for this position.
- Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
- US Citizenship
- Experience in language instruction and facilitation
- Experience editing and conducting Quality Control of language products
- Experience with course design and content management
- Experience summarizing/gisting while drawing upon linguistic and/or cultural expertise
- Experience writing reports
