What are the responsibilities and job description for the Merchandising and Sales Intern position at Orbit Irrigation?
Duties and Responsibilities of the Marketing Intern are:
• Take the lead on merchandising initiatives—enhancing product assortment,
perfecting visual displays, and managing inventory flow.
• Play a key role in driving sales growth by executing promotions, obtaining sidestacks and end-caps and promoting products thru point of purchase visuals.
• Spotlight the B-hyve smart irrigation controller with engaging presentations and
unbeatable product placement.
• Move excess and discontinued inventory thru special buys with customers
• Research market trends and competitors to uncover opportunities and insights.
• Be the face of our product—educating and inspiring customers about smart water
management.
• Keep inventory in check and assist with forecasting to ensure optimal product
availability and down stocking inventory to make sure product is available on the
shelf.
• Measure success by tracking key performance metrics and delivering actionable
reports to Director of sales in person.
Requirements:
• Strong organizational skills, with a knack for problem-solving and clear
communication.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Passion for teamwork, innovation, and thriving in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience in retail, sales, or merchandising is a plus—but your
enthusiasm matters most!
