Summary
Orbus Exhibit & Display Group has an outstanding opportunity available for a highly organized, team-oriented, and driven Project Manager to oversee a variety of custom projects within our organization.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest standards. The role requires someone who thrives in dynamic environments, is a creative problem solver, and has a strong ability to navigate challenges. Excellent organization, communication, and collaboration skills are essential for this position, as you will be working closely with diverse teams to ensure seamless project execution.
As a key member of the Project Management team, you will oversee and drive custom exhibit projects from the moment a sales order is secured, through CAD detailing and production, all the way to final shipping and delivery for the event or show.
Position Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, from order entry and CAD detailing through final production and delivery.
- Analyze and interpret client requirements and expectations, communicating directly with clients to confirm needs and deliverables.
- Organize items using an existing CAD file to finalize the Bill of Materials, layouts, and relevant information for production.
- Collaborate closely with the in-house woodshop, metal shop, graphics team, and setup crew to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
- Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail while maintaining a strong understanding of the broader scope of each project.
- Communicate effectively with both internal teams and clients, ensuring alignment and transparency at all stages of the project.
- Manage order changes and reworks, ensuring adjustments are efficiently handled and in line with project goals and deadlines.
- Track project progress and maintain accurate records to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
- Proactively identify risks and resolve potential issues before they affect project timelines or quality.
Additional Requirements (optional additions)
- Proven experience in the tradeshow or custom exhibit industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with CAD software such as Vectorworks, Solidworks, or AutoCAD is a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage client expectations effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a creative approach to overcoming challenges.
- A collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a passion for delivering high-quality results.
