Position Summary
Performs direct and/or indirect manufacturing production or support management functions, may assist in guiding employees on the direction provided by the supervisor of the workgroup; assists in monitoring the progress of employees, to include occasional training of employees in the processes necessary to produce a quality product within specified time requirements; monitors employee safety and product quality as requested; performs production work as assigned for any duration of time; operates in a non-supervisory function.
Major Duties/Responsibilities
1. Performs production work on assigned product line; serves as a resource person to less experienced employees and answers questions regarding work tasks and operations; may provide project updates and performance data to the supervisor; assists in inspecting finished and unfinished product to ensure quality manufacturing; may clarify specifications and job orders to workers; reviews production schedules and explains production needs and time limitations to co-workers;
2. Works with and advises the Vocational Specialist(s) and other Care Providers on employee with disability needs as may arise; may suggest modifications to work area to facilitate production of coworkers or employees with disabilities;
3. May confer with supervisors to suggest best practice methods and increased employee utilization; may be asked to participate in safety and other committees to provide input relative to employer safety and productivity;
4. As requested and as needed, performs production activities of employees in the work area and may be asked to work in the place of absent employees;
5. May assist the supervisor in verifying accuracy of production recordkeeping;
6. Must adhere to and follow all safety procedures, i.e., lock-out/tag-out; report safety concerns and use appropriate PPE as required;
7. Performs other duties as assigned
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
