What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Hospitality Manager/FOH Supervisor position at Orchard Bar & Table?
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead the front-of-house team, including hosts, servers, and bussers, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
- Provide exceptional guest service, addressing and resolving any guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
- Monitor table turnover, seating arrangements, and overall flow of the dining room to optimize efficiency and guest satisfaction.
- Train, mentor, and develop front-of-house staff, ensuring consistent adherence to restaurant policies and service standards.
- Ensure the restaurant is clean, organized, and well-maintained at all times, including dining areas, restrooms, and entryways.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate food and beverage delivery.
- Assist in managing reservation systems and waitlists, and coordinate seating to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Assist in managing inventory, stocking supplies, and placing orders for front-of-house items.
- Maintain health and safety standards, including ensuring that all food handling and service comply with local regulations.
- Help create and maintain a positive, team-oriented culture within the restaurant.
- Handle cash management and closing procedures, ensuring accurate financial transactions.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a restaurant, preferably in a high-end or steakhouse environment.
- Passion for hospitality, commitment to creating the ultimate guest experience
- Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, including front-of-house management and customer service.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to think quickly on your feet.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and maintain a calm demeanor under pressure.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification in hospitality or management is a plus.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
