Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Obtains daily Housekeeping Report from the front desk for list of vacant cabins which need to be cleaned immediately and prospective check outs to prepare work assignments.

· Bring golf carts to housekeeping area of the lodge and prepare for the check outs and check ins on the Daily Housekeeping Report.

· Check the linen closet for linens needed for the day. Make sure to mark any “reject” linen on the Mission Linen Sheet for credit.

· Advises front desk staff of cabins ready for occupancy.

· Inventories stock to ensure adequate supplies.

· Investigates complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment, and takes corrective action.

· Examines cabins to determine need for repairs or replacement of furniture or equipment, and makes recommendations to management.

· Conducts orientation training of new employees to explain company policies, housekeeping work procedures, and to demonstrate use and maintenance of equipment.

· Attends training to perfect housekeeping techniques and procedures, and enhance skills.

· Attends periodic staff meetings with other department heads to discuss company policies and guest feedback, and to make recommendations to improve service and ensure more efficient operation.

· Regular attendance is required

· All other duties as assigned.

Regular attendance at work is an essential function for the employee to complete daily tasks at the property site as well as interaction with prospective clients, vendors, residents, and employees on a daily basis.

Physical Demands

Employee is regularly required to stand and walk, bend, stoop and lift; Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; Reach with hands and arms; Talk and hear; Employee is occasionally lift up to 30 pounds. The ability to operate a golf cart.

 

Work Environment

Employee will walk the grounds, drive a golf cart, frequently interact with the guests; work is indoors and outdoors and are neither heated or cooled manually, work with cleaning supplies and other items used to sanitize and ensure cleanliness; and subject to seasonal highs and lows; The noise level can range from high to moderate.,

Years of Experience 2 – 3 years related experience and/or training;

Preferred Skills Attention to detail; ability to identify what needs to be done and do it; ability to follow direction and maintain established protocols of cleanliness.

Basic Skills Active Listening Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times. Speaking Talking to others to convey information effectively. Reading Comprehension Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents. Critical Thinking Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

Computer and Electronics Navigation Using scroll bars, a mouse, and dialog boxes to work within the computer's operating system. Being able to access and switch between applications and files of interest. Software Basic knowledge of opening and closing programs; search; some data entry, print and save. Electronics Mobile phone with the ability to download and access mobile apps for job related time keeping
