Orchard Hills Athletic Club, one of New England’s largest full-service athletic clubs, is looking for a dedicated Membership Associate to join our team. Located conveniently off Route 2 in Lancaster, MA, we offer a wide range of services, including a full-service gym, fitness programs, aquatics, children’s activities, Yoga, Pilates, Physical Therapy, and more!
The Membership Associate at Orchard Hills is the first point of contact for prospective and existing members, ensuring exceptional customer service and a welcoming experience. The role involves promoting memberships, assisting members with inquiries, and contributing to the growth and retention of the Orchard Hills community.
Key Responsibilities
1) Membership Sales and Promotion
a) Actively promote and sell memberships to prospective clients through in-person tours, phone calls, and emails.
b) Conduct facility tours to showcase the amenities, programs, and benefits of membership.
c) Achieve individual and team membership sales goals.
2) Customer Service
a) Provide courteous and professional assistance to members and guests, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
b) Process new memberships, renewals, and cancellations efficiently.
c) Maintain an in-depth knowledge of Orchard Hills services, events, and membership policies.
3) Administrative Duties
a) Update and maintain accurate member records in the system.
b) Handle payment transactions and generate membership reports.
c) Assist with scheduling and registration for classes, programs, or events.
d) Ensure the front desk and common areas are clean, organized, and well-stocked with materials.
e) Monitor compliance with club policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred.
- Prior experience in customer service, sales, or hospitality (fitness or club industry experience is a plus).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for helping people.
- Proficient in computer applications such as MS Office and membership management software.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
