A Full time position as a Licensed radiology technologist in California, CRT, responsible for basic x-ray exams in the radiology department. Under indirect supervision, operates radiographic equipment using imaging modalities. Performs general diagnostic radiology procedures in compliance with department protocols, including fluoroscopy, orthopedics, tomography, c-arms, surgery and portables. Evaluates radiographs for technical quality. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of procedures. Applies principles of radiation protection and provides patient care essential to radiographic procedures. Recognizes patient conditions requiring immediate action and initiates life support measure. Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of the human structure and function, excellence in patient care, positioning, principles in radiographic exposure, quality assurance, radiation physics, radiation protection, radiobiology, and specialized techniques as required for a Radiological Technologist. Demonstrates excellent communication skills and problem solving techniques.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology program with an active CRT or ARRT(CT) license in one specialty area. Must hold current state of California permit to practice in Radiology where applicable.
- Two years of basic radiology experience.
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Current CPR Certified
- Moderate to heavy lifting may be required.
