Summary/Objective
Orchard Hospital’s Outpatient Services Coordinator will assist Orchard Hospital in delivering excellent, high-quality care, close to home. They will do this by assisting patients with their check-in process, scheduling, follow-up, reminders, and questions about their outpatient services. They will work closely with the department director to create and execute on goals that improve workflow for the technicians, physicians, and patients.
Pay: $21.00-$25.20

- Utilize referral and electronic medical record software to schedule pending orders. Function as the beginning contact for support needs by patients, providers, and other staff.
- Assists patients and provider offices with scheduling ordered exams/procedures.
- Sends mammography letters and notifications to patients and referring providers.
- Maintains a thorough knowledge of the organization and adheres to all organizational standards.
- Keeps immediate supervisor well-informed of activities and recommends process improvement initiatives.
- Maintains and helps support multiple applications and systems, including a radiology, laboratory, cardiopulmonary and other information systems.
- Work with patients and payors to explain benefits and work with patients on payment options.
- Full understanding and ability to ensure MQSA certification requirements are met.
- Provide appointment preparation information and follow-up for procedures such as Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) Ultrasound, CT, MRI, Mammogram, DEXA, and X-ray.
- Assist provider offices with authorizations and order entry to ensure a seamless entry for patients needing services from the departments, including ensuring the study meets medical necessity.
