The successful Accounting Assistant will be highly proficient in coding invoices to multiple cost centers conforming to standard procedures to ensure proper entry into the financial system and excellent at applying payments accurately. Strong internal and external facing communication skills is required to understand purchases, invoices and payments for proper allocation and reporting.
Pay: $27.00-$32.00
Qualifications:

High School Diploma/ GED required, Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree in Business or Accounting preferred

Requires 1-3 years in a business environment with progressive customer service and computer skills, preferably in a healthcare environment.

Must have excellent 10-key, arithmetic/accounting and typing skills.

Must have computer skills including Word and Excel.

Must possess current driver’s license
Job Requirements:
- Prepares and maintains the general ledger, and is responsible for monthly closing activities under the supervision of the CFO.
- Assists in the preparation of monthly financial statements and related reports.
- Assists in the preparation of the cash flow forecasts and reports.
- Assists in the preparation of annual operating and capital budgets.
- Assists in the preparation of department budget to actual reports.
- Reviews and provides logical explanations for monthly, quarterly, and annual variances in general ledger accounts and hospital statistics.
- Assists in the preparation of reports for the year-end audit, Medicare cost report, and annual tax activities.
- Assists in the preparation of reconciliations and reporting of the Hospital’s 403(B) plan.
- Direct preparation of studies, reports, and analyses, in areas such as budgets, revenue cycle, reimbursement, forecasts, financial plans, and statistical reports, under the review of the CFO.
- Provide assistance and support to CFO as well as the accounting department.
- Completion of special projects as assigned.
- Competency in Microsoft Excel.
