Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and supervising advanced practice providers, they ensure optimal patient outcomes while utilizing an electronic medical record system for effective documentation. This role requires working flexible shifts, including nights and holidays, to meet the needs of a tertiary-level facility.
- Patients Per Shift : Approximately 140 patients daily in a 38-bed ED / UC.
- Support Staff : Includes RN, PA / NP, and office staff; 24-hour availability for critical services such as general surgery, anesthesia, and radiology.
- Orientation : The first day (Monday) is reserved for orientation.
- Provide emergency medical care in a combined Emergency Department (ED) and Urgent Care setting at a tertiary-level facility.
- Manage diverse cases, including trauma, urgent care needs, and general emergency medicine.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, PAs, and NPs, to deliver optimal patient care.
- Supervise advanced practice providers and residents when required.
- Utilize Cerner EMR system for documentation and patient management.
- Work flexible 12-hour shifts, including day, night, and weekend coverage as per the rotational schedule.
- Providers must utilize a real-time mobile time clock system.
- The role requires flexibility in shift coverage, including nights and variable schedules.
- Holiday coverage includes major U.S. holidays and half-day coverage on Christmas Eve starting at noon.
