Orchard Nursery is a family-owned, local, one-location retail nursery. We are well-known in the Bay Area for a wide selection of quality plants, in addition to our large houseplant offerings and garden-themed gift shop.
We are looking for a Phone Receptionist for our busy Spring season! The Phone Receptionist is among the first line of service towards our customers. They answer calls, direct customers to the correct department, and represent the nursery in a friendly and helpful manner over the phone.
The ideal candidate is friendly, reliable, good at multi-tasking and can work well in both independent and teamwork settings.
The schedule for this position is:
Thursday-Monday or Thursday-Sunday, 9-5:30
This position is seasonal/temporary and ends mid-May to late-May.
Job Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming customer calls and transfer to the correct department
- Unpack and price product
- Perform other administrative and clerical support tasks
Job Qualifications:
- Customer service experience
- Phone receptionist experience preferred
- Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office
Physical Requirements:
- Willing and able to lift up to 20 lbs
- Willing and able to work in outdoor conditions and fluctuating temperatures
- Willing and able to answer phones consistently through an 8 hour day
- Willing and able to sit at a desk for prolonged periods throughout an 8 hour day
- Willing and able to stand, bend occasionally through an 8 hour day
- Willing and able to use a computer throughout an 8 hour day
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
