Area Training Specialist

The individual in this role is responsible for implementing and overseeing training programs for childcare providers and related professionals within our designated area. This individual will work to enhance the quality of childcare services by ensuring that providers are equipped with the latest knowledge, skills, and best practices.
The Area Training Specialist is a full-time position, with hours assigned to fit the needs of the CCR&R department with flexibility in scheduling from 7:00am-7:00pm. Remuneration will be in line with training, experience and qualifications.
Pay for this position is posted at $19.00 hourly.
What you will do:
- Participates in statewide Iowa CCR&R system building activities as defined by the Regional Training Specialist and/or Regional Director
- Coordinates and monitors training
- Provides training and technical assistance to staff who help with training planning in specific areas of the region
- Responsible for all aspects of CCR&R sponsored training as assigned in partnership with the Regional Training Specialist

- Bachelor’s degree in early childhood or elementary education with an early childhood endorsement and formal education in adult learning or two years’ experience delivering successful adult education
- Experience working in early care and education programs preferred
- The Area Training Specialist will demonstrate computer skills including managing a database and using Excel
