What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bus Driver/Light Maintenance position at Orchard Ridge Assisted Living?
Orchard Ridge Senior Living has an immediate opening for a Bus Driver / Light Maintenance person. The hours for this position are Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm with rotating "on call" every five weeks.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements :
Must have a good driving record with a valid Idaho or Washington Driver's License
Experience driving a 14 passenger bus a plus (no CDL required)
Some light maintenance knowledge
Must be able to pass Department of Health & Welfare background check and a drug test
Ability to remain calm under stressful situations
Effective and clear communication skills
Must be able to work respectfully and compassionately with older adults
Essential Functions :
Transports residents to medical appointments, scenic drives, shopping, etc. in a pleasant and safe manner
Performs light building maintenance duties as assigned by Maintenance Manager
Works cooperatively with other departments
Monitors vehicle maintenance for 14 passenger bus and other vehicles.
Willingness to work on varied tasks to support residents and maintenance team
Ability to exert 20-50 pounds of force occasionally; occasional twisting and kneeling
Comply with the Idaho State and County Regulations and Orchard Ridge policies and procedures
Meet customer service standards in a friendly, helpful and courteous manner
Weekly rotation of On Call
Training :
Attend all required in-service training
Compensation :
Compensation $18 - $20 / hour. Benefits include paid vacation, sick leave, health insurance benefits, life insurance, 401k
