Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our culinary team and providing an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Duties
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure that all items are properly stored.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including bussing tables and cleaning kitchen surfaces.
- Support kitchen staff during peak hours by helping with food handling and basic cooking tasks.
- Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
- Participate in regular cleaning duties, including deep cleaning of kitchen appliances and storage areas.
- Help set up for banquets or special events as required by the restaurant or hotel.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and sanitation standards is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
