Job Title : Sales Manager

Location : Yakima, Washington

We are an agricultural equipment manufacturer, specializing in innovative solutions for the fruit and nut industries. As we continue to grow and expand our product lines, we are seeking a dynamic and motivated Sales Manager to lead our team and drive success across our current dealer channels, while also exploring new growth opportunities.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Lead and motivate an 8-person sales team, aligning their efforts with company goals and fostering a culture of success.
  • Develop and refine effective sales strategies to drive growth, meet customer needs, and expand market reach.
  • Recruit, train, and manage the sales team, ensuring they possess the skills and resources needed to excel. Organize and oversee team schedules and territories.
  • Monitor individual and team performance, offering feedback and coaching to improve outcomes.
  • Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Collect and analyze sales data to identify trends, pinpoint areas for improvement, and make informed decisions to drive growth.
  • Collaborates with executives to develop sales strategies.
  • Act as a communication link between the sales team and other departments within the organization, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Periodic travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Key Qualifications :

  • Minimum 7 years experience in sales, marketing, and management.
  • Prior experience within OEM and agricultural industries is preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage local and remote sales teams, ensuring trust, accountability, and ownership.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and sales productivity tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on relationship-building.
  • Ability to set clear goals and consistently track and measure performance to ensure objectives are met.
  • Excellent time management, self-discipline, and ability to delegate tasks effectively.
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be comfortable driving for long periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Comparable record of sales leadership experience required in lieu of education.
