.NET Developer Remote Contract – thru February 2025
Active Secret Clearance is Required@Orchard LLC has an immediate contract need for an experienced .NET Developer to join a team supporting the transition of the Army’s Near Real-Time Identity Operations (NRTIO) system for verification of biometric information. This is a relatively short-term engagement through to the end of the current contract period of performance, there is a possibility of extension, but not guaranteed. The work can be conducted entirely from a remote, work-from-home perspective, but an active secret clearance is required to perform the work.
Core Tasks.
Active Secret Clearance is Required@Orchard LLC has an immediate contract need for an experienced .NET Developer to join a team supporting the transition of the Army’s Near Real-Time Identity Operations (NRTIO) system for verification of biometric information. This is a relatively short-term engagement through to the end of the current contract period of performance, there is a possibility of extension, but not guaranteed. The work can be conducted entirely from a remote, work-from-home perspective, but an active secret clearance is required to perform the work.
Core Tasks.
- Assist in identifying and replacing legacy NRTIO software (e.g., bash scripts, Java applications, CLI tools, etc.) with updated and more maintainable software and micro-services where applicable.
- Provide general software development support as directed by the needs of the customer.
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines, with a focus on automation and reliability.
- Develop, maintain, and scale infrastructure to support software development and deployment needs.
- Maintain existing COTS software used within the NRTIO environment – including working with software vendors directly to facilitate easier maintenance in the future.
- Respond to critical system incidents as needed outside of standard business hours to ensure high system availability.
- Participate in a daily standup meeting and engage with the NRTIO team’s Kanban board to track work being completed.
- Bachelor’s degree in technical field.
- DOD 8570 – IAT Level II certification
- At least 3 years of current .NET development experience, including working on .NET version 8 in an ASP Net development environment.
- Website development and REST API
- Prior experience working with relational databases, including SQL Servers.
- Active Directory integration experience
- Ability to support core hours of 9 am to 5.30 pm and work daily with the development and engineering teams, including daily stand-up meetings.
- Experience working within a DevSecOps environment and a Cloud environment, preferably AWS for Government.
- Experience with C , Rabbit MQ Message Bus, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, and/or IIS/NGINX web.
- Docker containerization.
