Active Secret Clearance Required @Orchard is supporting a growing Federal contractor with a need for a part-time Senior Business Analyst. The individual in this role will be responsible for supporting the full project management life cycle.
Senior Business Analyst Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline (IT/Technical disciplines preferred)
- Active Secret clearance
- 5 years relevant experience with IT systems
- Demonstrated experience with MS Office suites of tools (i.e. Project, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated experience with data visualization tools (i.e. MS PowerBI)
- Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) milestones and mini stones.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Release Management (RM) support.
- Create, maintain, and manage project plans and schedules from approved release packages using MS Project.
- Provide project management support for application development, to include cost & schedule, schedule performance, and risk analysis in support of cost modeling; deliver cost data within 5 business days of request.
- Receive/Review approved release packages (including all programs impacted by release).
- Provide a weekly project status for each project on the integrated master schedule, including a summary of project execution that identifies any schedule variances signaling potential delays.
- Provide input into the Integrated Master Schedule for all software projects to the IMS process owner on a weekly basis.
- Maintain total visibility and track the cost and schedule based on projected hours versus actual hours performed for each developer assigned, utilizing MS Project (or applicable tool) and alert management immediately with any foreseen risk to schedule delays and cost overruns.
- Coordinate, schedule, and facilitate project level meetings with the project development and analysis teams to discuss any outstanding action items, risk to project and schedule, resource constraints, etc.; provide meeting minutes to Technical Lead within 3 business days of meeting occurrence.
- Coordinate with Division Leads to determine resources that will support release such as Division POCs and Technical Leads/POCs.
- Coordinate communication of Release Project plan/schedules among assigned resources.
- Utilize Program WBS (template) as input when creating project schedule for a release; coordinate with WBS/Schedule business owner as needed.
- Monitor, document and track project related risks and provide into the Program level risk registry during recurring, Customer-led Risk Registry meeting every other week.
- Communicate risk and risk mitigation plan regarding Release schedule to stakeholders within 2 business days of Risk Registry meeting.
- Plan and schedule activities supporting release (i.e. setup and facilitate external business partner meetings, monitoring test cycles, meetings to support MOUs, etc.).
- Ensure all supporting test documentation is complete and available in repository prior to entrance of each testing phase.
- Lead Operational Readiness Review (ORR) with complete Release Package and obtain approval to proceed (Includes checklist to confirm training is on schedule, communication to stakeholders is done, user community ready, RMCB, etc.).
- Schedule Deployment: Ensure configuration items have been provided to Deployment Manager.
- Perform Coordination and Documentation in support of Change Management Process (CMP).
- Coordinate implementation with Operations Coordination Team and Release Manager to address issues identified during testing to remediate problems before final deployment into production.
- Maintain record of all Release package artifacts; Move Sheet, Peer Review, Unit Cert, System Integration (SIT) Cert, and System Acceptance Testing (SAT).
- Participate in all milestone reviews; TRR (Test Readiness Review), TDR, SIT, and SAT and track any action items coming out of the reviews.
- Document for release record any issues, concerns, and resolutions identified during testing.
