Senior Process Engineer-Ultra Pure Water Systems
Syracuse, NY
Orchard LLC has an upcoming opening to work on a contract for a well-established solutions provider within the defense, intelligence, and critical infrastructure sector for an experienced Senior Process Engineer-Ultra Pure Water Systems in Syracuse, NY. This is at the proposal stage and will be contingent upon contract award. If awarded the position will be contract to hire after completing 4-6 months on the contract. The Engineer will complete a wide variety of difficult engineering assignments, applying engineering techniques and analyses to industrial water / wastewater systems in a semi-conductor manufacturing environment. The Engineer at this level is a fully qualified professional, proficient in the utilization of most engineering theories and practices. Some assignments involve CAE (computer aided engineering) / CAD (computer aided design) applications.
Duties include :
- Review of Design drawings and specifications for completeness and accuracy
- Review of equipment configuration and distribution routing of systems in NavisWorks 3D model relative to functionality, egress, ease of maintenance requirements, constructability, alignment with P&ID's, etc.
- Validation of engineering calculations
- Review and approval of equipment and component submittals in coordination with O&M staff
- Review and validation of construction RFI responses
- Review and approval of shop drawings and construction models
- May act in an advisory capacity to senior management personnel on process engineering related matters.
- Field engineering QA during construction
- Commissioning support
- Entry of system information into a capacity planning software.
