Active or Interim Secret Clearance is required@Orchard LLC is retained by a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) with a growing portfolio of government clients, to find an experienced MS SharePoint Portal Architect and Developer to support a major project at NAVSEA in support of the recently re-launched Sustainment Directorate (SEA 06), located at the Washington Navy Yard. This role will have a flexible hybrid work schedule but will require time onsite every week. Navy and other veterans are encouraged to consider this role as they will bring a unique perspective to the workforce management aspect.

As the SharePoint Portal Specialist you will be responsible for the following;
- Support the portal by handling administration, integration, and troubleshooting.
- Developing and maintaining content for SharePoint sites.
- Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting systems.
- Performing system and network administration.
- Managing daily operations on the development network.
- Deploying applications per approved test plans.
- Collaborating with the application development team.
- Completing support ticket requests.
- Web Administration and Content Management Services
- Enhancing web systems through planning, designing, testing, and implementing web pages and applications while ensuring adherence to production management and change control processes.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active or interim Secret Clearance.
- At least 5 years of Microsoft suite experience, including extensive SharePoint portal design and development.
- Bachelor's degree in IT or a relevant field.
- Understanding of ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) practices for IT service management.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (e.g. Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI)
- Proven experience in portal administration, integration, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting systems.
- Strong system and network administration skills and experience in managing daily operations on development networks.
- Strong web administration and content management skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, CompTIA Network , etc).
- Experience with Data Migration tools (e.g. ShareGate, Metalogix, or similar).
- Knowledge of Scripting Languages (e.g. Proficiency in PowerShell, JavaScript, or other scripting languages).
- Familiarity with Azure Services (e.g. Azure Active Directory, Azure DevOps, and other Azure services).
- Understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements related to M365.
- Experience in providing training and support to end-users to ensure effective use of SharePoint and other portal services.
