Chief Financial Officer

Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy & Leadership:

• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with Orchid Eight’s long-term business goals and growth plans.
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes to ensure financial discipline and accountability across the organization.
• Advise the CEO and executive team on financial performance, risk management, and opportunities for investment or cost-saving measures.

Operational Finance:

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, payroll, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with accounting standards and legal regulations.
• Monitor and control operating expenses, ensuring efficient resource allocation.

Financial Analysis & Reporting:

• Provide in-depth financial analysis and insights to guide decision-making, including sales performance, profitability, and market trends.
• Manage financial performance metrics, KPIs, and dashboards to track the company’s financial health.
• Prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, and business analysis to stakeholders, including investors and the board of directors.

Risk Management:

• Identify, evaluate, and manage financial risks, including currency fluctuations, market changes, and operational risks.
• Ensure appropriate internal controls are in place to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
• Manage compliance with tax regulations and other financial requirements.

Capital Management & Fundraising:

• Manage Orchid Eight’s capital structure, including debt, equity, and working capital, to support growth and operational needs.
• Lead fundraising efforts, including equity and debt financing, to secure capital for expansion and new projects.
• Build and maintain relationships with investors, banks, and financial institutions.

Team Leadership & Development:

• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with other department heads to ensure financial alignment with company-wide goals and initiatives.

Strategic Partnerships & Growth Initiatives:

• Evaluate and support business expansion initiatives, including potential partnerships, mergers, and acquisitions.
• Provide financial insights for new product launches, market expansion, and other growth strategies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
• Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior finance leadership role, preferably in e-commerce, retail, or related industries.
• Strong understanding of financial management, accounting principles, and e-commerce business models.
• Experience in fundraising, investor relations, and capital management.
• Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Previous experience in printing & merchandising & knowledge of the industry is a plus.
• Passion for gaming and knowledge of the gaming merchandise market is a plus.
