What You Will Do
- Completes all required training.
- Use hand truck, pallet jack, carts and tables to safely transport product.
- Maintain work area, tools and equipment in a clean and organized condition.
- Detect report faulty equipment, defective material and any unusual conditions to the department Supervisor or Lead.
- Follow designated safety rules and regulations.
- Support Lean Manufacturing and EHS initiatives.
- Dimensionally inspect work, using appropriate tools including, but not limited to; calipers, pin gauges, measuring instruments and surface plates, etc. as required.
- Perform weekly housekeeping per 5S schedule.
- Detect report faulty equipment, defective material and any unusual conditions to the department Supervisor or Lead.
- Follow work orders to perform operations on various parts and products
- Perform different types of operations based on manufacturing needs
- Lead the training of personnel as directed by the department Supervisor or Lead.
- Reinforces safety expectations. Ensures safety operating practices are demonstrated. Reports issues/concerns to Supervisor
- Support quality and compliance by adhering to all procedures, work instructions, and forms per the Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Trainer Responsibilities:
- Participate in a Trainer certification program (provided by Orchid).
- Provide on-the-job training for new hires and ongoing training for current production team members in your assigned area using a three-step process to ensure effective training in including demonstration, practice, and evaluation.
- Train team members using approved written work instructions to ensure training consistency across departments and shifts.
- Partner with Training Coordinator to maintain rosters of training progress, and certification records.
- Partner with operations, quality, engineering, and safety leadership to improve documented processes.
- Ability to train across all shifts to support new team members, when applicable.
