A BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Operations Technician I, Manual Production is responsible for performing various operations, including straightening, buffing, and grinding on parts to meet required dimensional specifications.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Complete all required training.
- Use hand trucks, pallet jacks, carts, and tables to safely transport products.
- Maintain work area, tools, and equipment in a clean and organized manner.
- Report faulty equipment, defective material, and unusual conditions to the department Supervisor or Lead.
- Adhere to designated safety rules and regulations.
- Support Lean Manufacturing and EHS initiatives.
- Dimensionally inspect work using appropriate tools such as calipers, comparators, pin gauges, and surface plates as needed.
- Perform weekly housekeeping per the 5S schedule.
- Follow work orders to operate on various parts and products.
- Reinforce safety expectations and ensure safe operational practices are demonstrated.
- Support quality and compliance by adhering to all procedures, work instructions, and forms per the Quality Management Systems (QMS).
