Ordaos Bio is an AI-driven drug discovery biotech company expanding its footprint with a new wet lab in St. Paul, Minnesota. We are seeking a Summer Lab Intern to assist in the setup and buildout of this new facility while also contributing to basic lab operations and experimental work. This is a unique opportunity for a recent or soon-to-be graduate to gain hands-on experience in laboratory infrastructure development and fundamental wet lab techniques while working closely with an experienced team. This is an in-person role.
What You'll Do
- Assist in the setup and organization of a new wet lab, including equipment installation, reagent sourcing, and workspace optimization.
- Support the Senior BioProcess Engineer (Jeff LaFrence) in developing lab workflows, safety protocols, and operational readiness.
- Perform basic lab experiments , including pipetting, solution preparation, and routine biochemical or molecular biology techniques.
- Help establish inventory systems, labeling, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for a functional biotech R&D space.
- Work with vendors, contractors, and team members to ensure a smooth lab buildout.
- Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving related to lab infrastructure and equipment setup.
