Job Summary
As a Construction Superintendent, you will coordinate all site construction activities and supervise field personnel to ensure successful project completion within budget and on schedule. Your role includes maintaining the highest quality standards, overseeing trade and field personnel, and implementing safety practices to foster a secure work environment. You will also manage the job site office and oversee the project closure process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage construction projects, ensuring quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction.
- Coordinate site activities and supervise field personnel, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Maintain safety regulations and practices to ensure a safe work environment.
- Monitor project progress, budget, and resource allocation.
- Prepare progress reports and maintain accurate project records.
- Address challenges and make informed decisions promptly.
Skills & Requirements:
- Proven Experience: Demonstrated success as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar role, with a strong track record in managing construction sites and project scheduling.
- Construction Knowledge: In-depth understanding of construction processes, procedures, best practices, and local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA guidelines.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and management abilities to effectively coordinate and supervise teams.
- Communication Proficiency: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to facilitate clear information exchange.
- Project Management Expertise: Proficient in project management principles, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Bluebeam) and tools, with the ability to adapt to emerging technologies.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction documents, and quality control processes.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills to navigate challenges effectively.
- Organizational Skills: Outstanding organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail to ensure compliance with specifications and building codes.
- Safety Awareness: Thorough understanding of construction safety regulations and practices, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and manage unexpected challenges.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of successful experience in supervision, project management, or expediting within the commercial construction industry.
- Experience overseeing multiple projects, including high-value commercial contracts.
Travel & Per Diem:
- This position will require willingness to travel for job assignments.
- Per diem and hotel accommodations will be provided for travel assignments.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour, based on experience
Expected Hours: 40 per week
