The Middle School Art Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging, standards-based art instruction to students in grades 6–8. The ideal candidate will foster an appreciation for the visual arts, encourage artistic exploration, and help students develop their own creative voice.
Responsibilities:

Plan and teach art lessons that align with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS).

Provide instruction in a variety of artistic media, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art.

Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports creativity and expression.

Organize student art displays, participate in school art events, and encourage community involvement in the arts.

Maintain art supplies and manage classroom materials and budgets.

Assess student work and provide meaningful feedback to guide growth.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Art Education or a related field (required).

Valid Texas teaching certification in Art (EC–12) or willingness to obtain certification.

Prior teaching experience at the middle school level preferred.
