Certified Recovery Mentor - Graveyard

Oregon Change Clinic is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Certified Recovery Mentor to join our team on the graveyard shift at our housing facility. As a vital part of our team, you’ll provide essential support and guidance to individuals in recovery during the overnight hours, ensuring a safe, supportive, and structured environment. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and observe client behavior, offering guidance when necessary and providing a steady, positive presence throughout the night.
• Ensure residents adhere to established recovery protocols, including curfews, conduct, and responsibilities within the housing environment.
• Conduct regular rounds of the housing facility to observe client interactions and ensure compliance with house rules and policies.
• Maintain vigilance regarding any safety hazards or facility concerns and report them promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness of shared spaces, lobby, and restrooms.
• Submit of incident reports and communication of any observed concerns regarding client behavior in a timely manner.
• Enforce facility rules and policies, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all clients.
• Perform safety checks of the premises, including locking doors, securing exits, and ensuring that all equipment is functioning properly.
• Be available for one-on-one conversations when clients need someone to talk to or seek guidance.

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience providing direct support and care to individuals in a residential treatment setting for substance abuse or similar care.
• PSS or CRM certification.
• Previous experience in a substance abuse treatment or recovery setting is preferred.
• Experience in crisis intervention or conflict resolution is a plus.
• Able to successfully pass a Department of Human Services (DHS) background check, as a condition of employment.
• Must successfully pass a drug screening and tuberculosis (TB) testing as part of the pre-employment process.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to engage with respect, empathy, and professionalism with clients and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
• Skilled in both written and verbal communication, with the ability to document observations and incidents accurately.
• Understanding of and sensitivity to the unique challenges faced by individuals in recovery.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.50 per hour
