Key Responsibilities
- Create, refine, and strategically distribute dynamic and impactful content that highlights the Oregon Change Clinic’s services, fosters deep community engagement, raises awareness about mental health and substance use treatment, and effectively communicates essential organizational updates.
- Ensure all written communications are culturally sensitive, trauma-informed, and aligned with the Oregon Change Clinic’s mission and values.
- Oversee and update the organization’s website to ensure it remains engaging, user-friendly, and reflective of current needs, services, and initiatives. Ensure content is compelling, culturally inclusive, and effectively communicates the organization's mission to diverse audiences.
- Assist in developing engaging presentations, public communications, and educational materials to support outreach efforts and internal initiatives.
- Collaborate with the leadership and clinical team to create informative and supportive resource materials for clients and families.
- Curate content for the facility’s social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Google and other media to foster consistent engagement, visibility, and awareness.
- Track and analyze digital engagement metrics to refine outreach strategies and align content calendar to ensure a steady and timely release of new material.
- Create mate press releases highlighting the facility’s initiatives, community impact, and success stories.
- Develop culturally responsive promotional materials for diverse client populations.
- Build relationships with community organizations, advocacy groups, and cultural leaders to strengthen partnerships and outreach efforts.
- Represent the facility at public events, networking opportunities, and coalition meetings.
- Maintain organized records of outreach contacts, event details, and content releases, and organizational content.
- Monitor and document expenses related to marketing materials, events, and outreach efforts and proactively share cost-saving ideas.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Behavioral Health, or a related field is preferred; however, equivalent work experience in communications, community outreach, or a related field will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 2-4 years of experience in a communications role, preferably in healthcare, behavioral health, or nonprofit settings.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a focus on clarity, empathy, and inclusivity.
- Experience managing social media, digital marketing, and public relations efforts.
- Ability to engage with diverse communities and adapt messaging for various cultural perspectives.
- Proficiency in graphic design tools such Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience with content scheduling platforms is a plus.
- Valid drivers license required.
- Able to successfully pass a Department of Human Services (DHS) background check, as a condition of employment.
