POSITION SUMMARY
The Dean of Academic Pathways and CTE has significant responsibility for leading the strategic direction and the day-to-day administrative operations of Academic and Student Affairs. This position works closely with the VPASA, Dean of Academic Foundations & Student Success, full- and part-time faculty, and the Academic and Student Affairs support staff, to ensure the effective delivery of academic programs and student learning.
The Dean has primary responsibility for full and part-time faculty and works closely with the Dean of Academic Foundations & Student Success to develop and implement the instructional schedule, instructional support, and guidance to faculty. The position works collaboratively with the Academic & Student Affairs leadership team regarding distance learning, academic integrity, high school and degree partnerships, catalog, scheduling, and curriculum input. Faculty are supported in curriculum development and assessment.
This position provides input on planning, implementing, evaluating, and continuously improving administrative processes. Supervises the hiring, evaluation, and continued employment of faculty and assigned staff pursuant to the collective bargaining agreements.

Specific vision and hearing abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus, and complete and maintain various types of records.
Ability to hear the conversational voice and effectively communicate responses. Assignment will include presence at all OCCC locations and may include evening and weekend work.
Travel between College sites and other locations will be required. Occasional travel and overnight stays outside of Lincoln County may be required for training and other purposes.
Work occurs in an office environment with potential for interruptions and background noise.
