Job Summary and Responsibilities:
The Director of Corporate Investment Operations (Director), in collaboration with the CFOO, develops, implements, and manages strategic plans and program direction related to the foundation’s endowment and impact investing funds. As a member of a team stewarding nearly $4 billion of charitable capital, the Director will lead analysis, reporting, operations, and communications related to Oregon Community Foundation’s core investment portfolios, agency funds, externally managed funds, and impact investing portfolios. The Director will report to the Chief Financial & Operations Officer and oversee the team responsible for investment coordination, administration, compliance, and investment related accounting and treasury functions. This role demands an individual who has experience in complex financial environments with the ability to manage growing investment programs, build strategic partnerships, and wisely steward and protect the assets of the foundation.
The Director will supervise the Corporate Investment Accountant and the Senior Program Officer of OCF’s Endowment Partner Program, comprised of a portfolio of 450 agency funds. They will also work closely with the Controller, Finance staff, and impact investing Program Officers to ensure efficient administration of the foundation’s investment assets.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Ten or more years’ experience in finance, treasury and/or institutional investment management.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required; MBA, MS in related field, and / or certification (CPA/CFA) strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ supervisory experience required.
Travel (5%):
- Travel may be required to meetings within the state of Oregon, sometimes requiring overnight stay. Attendance at out-of-state conferences and industry meetings may require overnight stays.
Working Conditions and Safety:
- Comfortable office environment.
- Physical effort includes use of keyboard/monitor and occasionally lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Report all injuries, illnesses, or accidents to your supervisor as soon as possible and within 24 hours.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hiring Range: $150,000 - $180,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Salary offers are intended to be competitive with the market and reflect the candidate’s background and experience in similar roles.
- This is a full-time, exempt position.
