Summary Of Duties
As a Human Services Supervisor 2, you will:
- Provide leadership and support to the branch team is the aim of this role. The Human Services Supervisor 2 is responsible for the daily function of the Family Coach team within their assigned branch office, and they comanage several branches with their respective OEP branch managers. The position manages and directs branch cross-functional teams, local programs, and community collaboration efforts by assigning work procedures consistent with the department's policies, recommending revisions to department policies and procedures, establishing work schedules, and monitoring work performed by office staff to meet agreed upon goals, objectives, and targets. In collaboration with management partners, both public and private, the position helps design, implement, evaluate, and modify programs and services legislated by federal, state, and local governments. The position actively seeks to achieve the ODHS goals of integrity, stewardship, responsibility, respect, service equity, innovation, and professionalism. The position assures that program delivery performance of the work team complies with department expectations, objectives, laws, rules, regulations, and case management practices. The position anticipates agency needs and direction and communicates that vision to staff and the community so that effective change can occur when needed. The position actively seeks to provide culturally appropriate services where individuals are treated respectfully, compassionately, and effectively in a manner that recognizes, affirms, and values the worth of children, individuals, families, and communities, protecting and preserving the dignity of each. This includes culture, language, national origin, class, race, age ethnic background, disability, stage of development, religion, gender, sexual orientation, and other differences/diversity factors. Learn more about our programs, as your work providing services will be through the Self Sufficiency Program (SSP).
- Four Years of lead work, supervision, or progressively related experience; OR one year of related experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field. A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record are required for this position.
- All individuals hired with the State of Oregon are required to provide acceptable I-9 documents three days of starting their position.

- Experience with communication styles and communicating clearly & professionally in writing and verbally with both internal and external customers.

Working Conditions
- Traditional office environment, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. This is not a remote position and offers very little to no remote work options. This position will supervise staff across multiple locations and will require weekly travel to the respective offices. This position requires flexibility, and strong communication skills. This position will support with contact with clients who may be angry, upset, or dealing with emotional stress, financial stress, or substance abuse issues. High stress environment due to a high-volume workload with short time frames. Irregular work hours with some evening and weekend work may be expected at times. Required to be accessible for emergency contact 24/7, possibly carrying an electronic device for immediate access. Requires a valid driver's license or other acceptable method of transportation for routine travel. Most travel will be local, but may include travel across the state. May involve occasional overnight stay away from local area, though not common for this position. Mileage reimbursement is available for those who drive beyond their commute miles using a personal vehicle.
