Part-time Information
- This is a part-time position working 20 hours per week.
- The monthly salary range is $1,852 - $2,533 (the salary range listed above on the job announcement is for a full-time position).
- Part-time employees are eligible for benefits at a prorated rate.
You will work Monday through Friday with your choice of either:
- 8 a.m. to Noon each day
- 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. each day
As the Federal Revenue Specialist, you will:
- Determine medical eligibility for all children placed in state custody.
- Determine IV-E eligibility on all new placements in substitute care.
- Maintain and review IV-E caseload for clients determined eligible for Title IV-E Foster Care Program.
- Complete data entry and verification to ensure that all information entered and uploaded into the Child Welfare OR-Kids information system is accurate.
- Obtain adequate, supporting documentation when completing determinations.
- Organizes facts and documentation to support determination whether denial or approval.
- Communicates results of determinations to relevant parties.
Two years of experience interviewing to obtain personal or technical information or substantial people contact.
One year of the experience must include one of the following:
- Employment planning and/or placement activities;
- Assessing the needs, strengths, skills, etc., of clients, patients/customers;
- Assessing multiple community services to assist clients/patients/customers;
- Problem solving activities including action planning, identifying resources, goals and timelines to resolve issues, etc.;
- composing and preparing technical written documents such as, letter or memos, to explain rules, policies, benefits, etc.; or gathering, analyzing data and preparing narrative reports for documentation purposes.
Essential Attributes
We are looking for candidates with:
- Experience being self-motivated, dependable and working independently to complete tasks and meet deadlines.
- Experience conducting data analysis, evaluations and reporting.
- Experience working with budgets, finances, contracts and invoices.
- Experience using attention to detail to review documents.
Working Conditions
- After completing your initial training, you will have the option to work a hybrid schedule that includes both remote work and attending in-person meetings and trainings at the ODHS Child Welfare Hood River office.
- On rare occasions, you will travel to The Dalles for the purpose of gathering documents to complete your duties.
- A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record are required for this position.

- Finalists must be cleared by the FBI Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) through a fingerprint-based criminal records check.
- The Oregon Department of Human Services does not offer visa sponsorship.
