Minimum Qualifications
Four years experience as a skilled carpenter.
Note: The experience must include form building; rough framing; outside and inside finishing; layout; care and use of tools and woodworking machinery; blueprint reading; and application of safety standards and codes;
OR
Completion of an apprenticeship (four years) under a skilled carpenter which included experience as listed above.
Note: Be sure a copy of your Journeyman Carpenters card is attached to your application form.
Special Qualifications
Driving is an essential function of this position. You must have a valid US driver license and an acceptable driving record. We will conduct pre-employment driving records checks on our final candidate(s). Your license does not have to be issued in Oregon to be considered.

A Day In The Life
- Perform skilled carpentry work such as building walls, placing concrete, designing custom cabinets and installing floor and wall coverings.
- Tear down and setup systems furniture.
- Carry out the preventive maintenance program through scheduled inspection and servicing of equipment and facilities.
- Clean and prepare surfaces for paint touch ups and match paint to the existing color.
- Perform housing repairs from roofing to restroom or kitchen remodels.
- Repair or replace plumbing fixtures outside of the wall, repair old plumbing systems and clean and open drains and other water lines.
- Use a computer and mobile device to communicate, collect inspection data, submit timesheets and receive work requests via a computerized maintenance management software.
- Work is performed occasionally near dust, hazardous chemicals, electrical and mechanical hazards and sometimes in areas of poor lighting, ventilation, noise and low clearances.
- Work requires the operation of power tools, forklifts and other equipment and requires occasionally working in inclement weather.
- Requires traveling throughout the state and occasional overtime to respond to emergency calls after hours or on weekends.

- Journeyman level carpentry, construction and maintenance experience in commercial facilities.
- Demonstrated experience providing excellent customer service and communication skills (verbal, written and electronic).

- Demonstrated experience effectively working as a team and independently.
