A Day In The Life
- Process, review and issue hardship permit applications, forms and other documents to determine they meet criteria set by policies, rules and procedures.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of laws, rules and procedures that relate to convictions, suspensions, appealed convictions, etc.
- Process reinstatements for driving privileges.
- Prepare correspondences that explain the laws and rules related to suspensions and reinstatements of driving privileges.
- Review implied consent forms to ensure minimum requirements are met.
- Process all ignition interlock device (IID) documents, install, deinstall, reporting, exception and exemptions.
- Review suspension notices, convictions, judgments, vacates and driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUII) diversion agreements to implement for driving privileges.
- Answer inquiries from courts, attorneys, law enforcement, IID providers, internal customers and other groups of people reaching out for more information.
- Work with other state licensing agencies to record and report driving history.
- Work is performed in an office environment working from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday.

- Experience working in a high production environment.
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure particularly when dealing with upset or angry customers over the phone.
- High attention to detail.
- Experience answering inquiries in writing and over the phone regarding explaining rules, processes and procedures.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with co-workers with strong customer service skills.
