What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dog Care Lead position at Oregon Dog Rescue?
Oregon Dog Rescue is searching for a team leader! We are a small staff who all pitch in to make everything happen at the rescue. Applicants must be passionate about dogs, self starters, punctual, love being part of a team and be willing to get dirty!
This position involves ALOT of cleaning, basic animal care :bathing, walking, cleaning up after, assisting with basic manners, enrichment , laundry, and more cleaning!
Applicants need to be able to be on their feet for 4-5 hour shifts, capable of lifting 40 pounds, comfortable with dogs and interested in a long term position.
Team Leads set the example as team members, must be confident dog handlers , adhere to all protocols, practice safe dog handling and have an extreme passion for saving lives.
Shifts are typically 7am-Noon or 12-6pm with up to 35 hours per week available.
We must have someone who can be flexible and fill in when needed.
We are here 365 days a year so you will need to be available for weekends and some holiday hours!
Rescue is dirty, Rescue is emotional and Rescue IS a life-style. The dogs do not work 9-5 and our team often needs to communicate outside of scheduled hours.
