Seeking a full time Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Associate or Nurse Practitioner) to join Oregon Emergency Physicians, a democratic EM group dedicated to caring for patients at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center, a large tertiary care, magnet-status hospital. · PA candidates are required to have at least a master's degree from a training program accredited by the ARC-PA (Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant/Associate) and have a current PA-C designation having passed the Physician Assistant National Certifying Exam (PANCE). Ideal PA candidates will have 3 years of experience in emergency medicine (or other supportive acute care based settings), and/or have completed an emergency medicine residency accredited by the Association of Post Graduate PA Programs (APPAP).*

· NP Candidates are required to have at least a Masters degree from an accredited institution, and have a FNP and/or Adult Acute Care NP certification/licensure. Preferred NP candidates would have ENP-Certification, and/or 3 years of Emergency Medicine clinical work (or other supportive acute care based settings).*

· Full time hours, with shifts covering typically in the late-morning, afternoon, & evening.

· Primarily managing moderate to low acuity patients in an independent practice style, with immediate side-by-side support of a highly physician staffed Adult and Pediatric department.

Founded in 1875, Providence St. Vincent Medical Center has the distinction of being Oregon’s first hospital, and has grown into an over 500 bed hospital providing some of the most advanced services in the region. It is also highly honored for the quality of its people and programs, having been named a Top 100 Hospital by Thomson Reuters multiple times. The Emergency Department serves over 80,000 visits per year, making it the busiest ER in Portland. Currently in the latter stages of a top to bottom renovation, the department expects to further expand its already high acuity and coverage over the coming months.
