While OFS is a virtual school, we offer many in-person classes as well. These positions will be on campus in the classroom. We have 2 campuses in Bend, 1 in Redmond and 1 in La Pine.

Educational Assistant : Assist student(s), in developing social, life and learning skills.
Prepare, organize and maintain classroom supplies and activities as directed.
Supervise student(s) in the classroom, schoolyard, in the school and on off-campus
activities as required. Assist in first aid procedures and secure further assistance where
needed.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Effectively support students with various individual needs, including Special Education and 504 students, upon direction of the classroom and special education teachers.
2. Assists special education teaching staff responsible for preparation, implementation,
and evaluation of individual and group instructional programs.
3. Assists in communicating with teachers on students’ progress.
4. Assists students’ in their understanding of instructional concepts by reemphasizing
the basic elements of teacher directed activities.
5. Provides students with additional practice on identified skill areas.
6. Assists with the correction of student work as assigned by the classroom teacher.
7. Prepares instructional materials.
8. Supervises students during any breaks/recesses, lunch periods, and before / after
school by keeping a calm and disciplined atmosphere in all areas on the campus,
playground, and during drop-off and pick-up.
9. Assists in monitoring the daily school routines of the classes, small groups, and / or
individual low functioning students.
10. Participates in the various vocational / recreational activities developed for students
requiring these services.
11. Follows any assigned daily schedule.
12. Assists in set-up and teardown of classroom and school.
13. Sets professional goal and fulfills performance standards identified in the evaluation
process as required by the position.
14. Fulfills working conditions that require some physical effort and lifting up to 50
pounds.
15. Fulfills other duties as assigned or assumed.
