The
Oregon Health Authority
has a fantastic opportunity for a Administrative Specialist 2 to join an excellent team. This is a Full-Time, Limited Duration (up to 24 months), Classified position with the Office of Program Integrity.
This Limited Duration is currently authorized for 24 months. OHA retains the right to end the Limited Duration assignment at any time; however, there is a possibility that the position may become permanent.
The AA Salary Range for this position is between $4,207.00 to $5,842.00 per month.
What you will do!
The primary purpose of this AS 2 position is to directly assist and support OHA’s Office of Program Integrity (OPI) management and staff in the day-to-day operations. The position supports the OPI Administrator, the Compliance and Regulatory manager, Business Operations manager, and a program integrity staff of research analysts, policy and operations analysts, compliance specialists, governmental auditors, and medical review coordinator positions. The position will serve as the direct contact for OPI with regards to business not handled directly by OPI management or staff. Examples of duties include scheduling meetings, answering office phones and messages, assist in the audit collections process, assist with new hire recruitment and onboarding duties, manage and track financial purchases, and perform other responsibilities and typical administrative support duties.
This position is integral to the day-to-day operations of OPI in its role of ensuring the integrity of Oregon’s Medicaid funding, which ultimately impacts the health and access to services by over one million Medicaid beneficiaries in Oregon, who originate from racially, ethnically, culturally, gender and ability-diverse communities throughout the state.

What we are looking for:
Three years of secretarial or administrative support experience that includes coordinating office procedures, preparing narrative and statistical reports, and administrative data collection and analysis.
OR
An associate degree in general office occupations and two years of secretarial or administrative support experience that includes coordinating office procedures, preparing narrative and statistical reports, and administrative data collection and analysis.
OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Requested Skills:
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and effectively manage irate and hostile individuals and situations.
- Must be able to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines and have flexibility, work demand tolerance and exhibit written and oral communication skills including effective communication with coworkers.
