Summary:
Oregon Ice Cream is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Master Scheduler to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing the production schedule, optimizing factory capacity, and ensuring alignment across cross-functional teams. Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer (COO), the Master Scheduler will be responsible for compiling, publishing, and driving the reconciliation of master schedules, with a strong focus on ensuring the optimal loading and efficiency of production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Master Schedule Management:
- Compile, publish, and drive reconciliation of the Master Schedule.
- Ensure alignment with business and operational goals.
Factory Capacity:
- Compile, publish, and drive reconciliation of factory capacity.
- Optimize resource utilization to meet production demands.
Optimal Loading:
- Lead efforts to drive optimal loading in production processes.
- Ensure maximum efficiency and minimal downtime.
Collaborative Planning:
- Align with the Production Scheduler to focus on short-term scheduling (2 months in).
- Manage the long-term master schedule (2 months out).
Material Requirements Planning (MRP):
- Utilize strong MRP knowledge to ensure proper flow of materials and production timelines.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Use advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, etc.) for data analysis and reporting.
- Generate insights to optimize production schedules.
- Power BI experience preferred for dashboard creation and reporting.
Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Lead cross-functional teams in production, operations, and other departments.
- Ensure smooth execution of the production plan across departments.
Process Improvement:
- Continuously improve the master scheduling process to enhance production efficiency and cost management.
- Drive improvements in customer satisfaction and operational effectiveness.
NAV Experience:
- Previous experience with Microsoft NAV preferred for system integration and reporting
Required Qualifications:
Experience & Knowledge:
- Strong experience in Master Scheduling within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Proficiency in Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
- Previous experience in the food industry preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, etc.). VBA knowledge is not required.
- Power BI experience preferred for data analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with Microsoft NAV is highly desirable.
- Leadership & Collaboration:
- Strong leadership abilities to guide and influence cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Work Environment:
- Office Environment: The role will be primarily in the office, collaborating with teams and managing schedules.
- Manufacturing Facility: The position will also require occasional presence at the manufacturing facility to ensure alignment with production processes and factory capacity.
