Summary:
Oregon Ice Cream is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Talent Acquisition Manager to lead the recruitment efforts at Oregon Ice Cream, an innovative and growing ice cream company based in Eugene, Oregon. This role will be responsible for developing and executing effective talent acquisition strategies to attract top-tier talent, drive the hiring process, and ensure the right fit for all positions within the organization. The Talent Acquisition Manager will collaborate closely with the Director of Human Resources & Administration and department leaders to meet staffing needs and foster a positive hiring experience.
- Recruitment Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and execute talent acquisition strategies aligned with Oregon Ice Cream's growth objectives and staffing needs.
- Partner with the Director of Human Resources & Administration and department heads to define hiring requirements and create job specifications for each role.
- Proactively forecast future hiring needs, keeping ahead of organizational growth and changes.
- Create and maintain a talent pipeline for key roles, anticipating short-term and long-term staffing needs.
End-to-End Recruitment Process:
- Lead and manage the recruitment process from job posting to candidate selection and onboarding.
- Source candidates using various channels, including job boards, social media, networking events, and employee referrals.
- Screen resumes, conduct phone interviews, and coordinate in-person interviews with hiring managers.
- Guide candidates through the interview process and ensure timely communication and feedback.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure that selected candidates align with the company culture and job requirements.
Employer Branding & Candidate Experience:
- Promote Oregon Ice Cream as an employer of choice, showcasing the company culture and values to attract top talent.
- Enhance the candidate experience by providing a seamless and positive interview and hiring process.
- Leverage creative sourcing methods and tools to attract diverse candidates and build a strong employer brand.
Collaboration & Partnership:
- Work closely with the Director of Human Resources & Administration to ensure alignment with overall HR strategies and compliance with hiring policies.
- Partner with department heads to understand hiring needs and ensure a smooth transition from recruiting to onboarding.
- Maintain strong relationships with external recruitment agencies, job boards, and other talent sources.
Onboarding & Integration:
- Ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires by coordinating pre-employment paperwork, training schedules, and introductions to the team.
- Work with HR to ensure all new hires complete necessary documentation and are set up in company systems.
- Provide a welcoming and informative experience for new employees, helping them to feel engaged and integrated into the company.
Data-Driven Reporting & Continuous Improvement:
- Track and report on key recruitment metrics, including time-to-fill, quality-of-hire, and source-of-hire.
- Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement in the recruitment process.
- Continuously improve the talent acquisition process by staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in talent acquisition or recruitment, preferably in a fast-paced or manufacturing environment.
- Experience in recruiting for a variety of roles, from entry-level to senior positions.
- Familiarity with recruitment best practices, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and various sourcing techniques.
- Excellent interviewing and candidate assessment skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple hiring processes simultaneously.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with hiring managers and candidates.
- High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the food production or consumer goods industry (preferred, but not required).
- Familiarity with recruitment marketing tools, social media platforms, and other digital tools.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification (preferred).
Work Environment:
- This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
