Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Bilingual Legal Assistant to join our team, primarily focusing on removal defense cases.
Responsibilities
- Gather and organize client information and documents.
- Prepare motions and filings for immigration court.
- Perform records requests.
- Provide support to attorneys and paralegals in case management and preparation.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all documents are up to date.
- Communicate with clients in both English and Spanish.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year experience working in a law office.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Excellent computer skills, including typing and experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and a solid work ethic.
- Creative problem-solver with a compassionate approach.
- Friendly demeanor and strong work ethic.
- Starting at $21/hr (higher wage possible based upon experience).
- Full-time position, 40 hours per week, in person.
- Paid time off, sick leave, health insurance, life insurance, and retirement plan with 3% match after a 90-day probationary period.
