TITLE: Just Care Family Coach III (OOC Eugene)

PROGRAM: Just Care for Families

PAY BAND: $51,000 - $58,000 base ( $15,600 bonus)

BENEFITS:

· Weekly performance-based bonuses up to $300/week ($15,600 annually)

· Benefits: 50% of employee Providence medical and Regence dental covered

· Vacation: 80 hours paid vacation per calendar year.

· Holiday: 9 paid holidays per year

*Supervision for licensure hours

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Just Care for Families program in Douglas County is seeking individuals who are motivated to work with parents experiencing substance use and/or mental health challenges in their homes and communities. The program uses evidence-based strategies and follows a research-backed model. The majority of services are delivered out of the office and sometimes involve collaboration with other community partners. The Family Coach receives weekly individual and group supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· The ideal candidate will have in good standing with the State of Oregon a minimum:

  • Certified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor II certificate (CADC II) and be eligible for a (Qualified Mental Health Associates Registrant) QMHA-R

or

  • QMHA-II and be eligible for a CADC-R
  • Bachelor’s degree in a human services field with minimum of two years’ experience

or

minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent with seven (7) years’ years’ experience in behavioral health (i.e., mental health, substance use, child welfare, or legal system).

  • Valid driver’s license, insurance, and working vehicle.
  • Must be willing to provide services in most family homes and drive to remote areas. Mileage is reimbursed.
  • Good judgment regarding completing tasks while maintaining personal safety.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills. Must have basic computer skills and experience including some or all of: MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, FileMaker Pro and an electronic health record (EHR).
  • Preferred experience implementing any of the following: experience working with unhoused or unstably housed individuals, behavioral approach to treatment/treating families, clinical protocols, community outreach services, home visiting models of care.

REPORTS TO: Just Care for Families Supervisor

SUPERVISES: None

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Follow standardized protocol for conducting assessments and treatment with parents and families.

2. Conduct individual, family, and couples therapy with parents using behavioral interventions including frequent monitored urinalysis and contingency management, mental health treatment using cognitive-behavioral and behavioral approaches and collaboration with medication providers.

3. Conduct treatment in the home and community settings (Some clients are unhoused, and their housing environment is variable), which involves travel within the assigned county.

4. Provide client transportation for case management appointments and other treatment needs.

5. Provide case management including participating in child welfare meetings, court appearances, medical/mental health appointments, connecting clients with resources as needed, and supervising parent-child visits.

6. Complete timely documentation of progress notes, treatment plans, and monthly treatment updates to child welfare with awareness that (given population) clinical records are frequently subpoenaed; professional and timely documentation is essential.

7. Attend weekly clinical group supervision and individual supervision.

8. Maintain the average productivity standards (average of 25 hours direct client contact a week), timely and accurate documentation.

9. Assist in orientation and training of interns and new coaches.

10. Maintain and protect confidentiality of all organizational information gained while performing job responsibilities including, but not limited to, financial and client information.

11. Maintain CADC and QMHA credentials by completing annual CEUs and trainings required by Oregon Health Authority or by the Oregon Outreach Clinic.

12. Other travel and other duties consistent with qualifications and training.

Experience:

  • Behavioral health: 4 years (Preferred)
  • Addiction counseling: 4 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • QMHA Certification (Preferred)
  • CAD Certification or other Addiction Counseling Certificate (Preferred)

  • Eugene, OR 97401 (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Eugene, OR 97401: Relocate before starting work (Required)
