The primary purpose of this position is to perform record keeping and other tasks as directed by the classroom teacher to assist teaching staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The following are examples of duties. However, any one position may not cover all duties listed; examples may not cover all duties an employee is expected to perform; and other duties may be assigned.
Confers with teaching staff on progress of student(s). Assists staff with record keeping, copying, filing and grading papers. Works with teachers to develop educational material. Assists teacher in communicating with parents regarding student's progress in general. Prepare lesson materials, bulletin board displays, exhibits, equipment and demonstrations as requested. Supervise students in classroom, halls, cafeteria, playground, gym and/or on field trips. Grade homework and tests; and compute and record results. Plan, prepare and develop various teaching aids such as charts and graphs.
Qualified applicants will be asked for an interview and must provide a resume and at least 2 letters of recommendation. Upon selection, employees will be required to pay for the following: $12.50 fingerprinting fee and $66 ODE processing fee. Must meet NCLB requirements.
Instructional Assistant - 7 hours ($16.07 - $17.74/hr) Pro-rated Benefits: Employer paid PERS, Medical, Dental, Vision insurance
