The Oregon State Police in Salem, Oregon is hiring for one (1) full-time, permanent Information Systems Specialist 7 position.

The salary listed is the non-PERS (Public Employee Retirement System) qualifying salary range. Prior to applying you should ensure all sections of your Workday Job History page is accurate and complete. This information is utilized during the pay equity analysis phase.
Summary of Job Duties:
In this position, you will design, implement, and monitor systems and tools to protect the OSP digital ecosystem. You will be responsible for administration of Tenable, Microsoft Defender and other security systems. You will use scripting language to develop process automation. You will also support information security through monitoring of system logs, performance, and access/identity controls.
You will routinely work with Enterprise Information Services (EIS) Data Center Services (DCS) partners to troubleshoot system problems and ensure alignment with the Enterprise. You will also engage in contract and vendor management to ensure appropriate licensing and support from vendors.
Minimum Qualifications/Eligibility Requirements:
Six (6) years of information systems experience in:
Cyber security and forensics tools;
OR
(b) An Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, OR completion of a two (2) year accredited vocational training program in information technology or related field;
AND
four (4) years of information systems experience in:
Cyber security and forensics tools;
OR
(c) A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
AND
two (2) years of information systems experience in:
Cyber security and forensics tools;
OR
(d) Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field may substitute for all of the above.
Cyber security and forensics tools;
OR

Preferred Skills:
- Comprehensive knowledge of Tenable and Microsoft Defender.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze complex security issues, perform forensic investigations using Windows forensic analysis, and create effective solutions.
- Expertise in Advanced Scripting and Automation.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with both internal and external partners.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement effective solutions and integrations within complex systems
