Agriculture Educator in Lake County Position
We are seeking an innovative and collaborative Extension Agriculture Educator to provide leadership and educational programming for Lake County.
This full-time position is based in Lakeview, Oregon, and focuses on delivering non-credit education in range, forage production, livestock, and general agriculture while fostering strong connections with local producers, organizations, and agencies.
This is a 12-month, full-time, county-based OSU Extension position.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in animal sciences, rangeland sciences, natural resources, agriculture, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated teaching (formal and/or informal) skills appropriate for adult learners.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate successfully with a broad and diverse audience.
- Must have or be able to obtain an Oregon Department of Agriculture Pesticide Consultant License within six months of employment and maintain the license throughout employment.
- Transferable skills and knowledge of beef cattle, irrigated forage, and/or arid-climate rangeland production systems.
