The Doctor of Physical Therapy Program in Oregon State University’s College of Health invites applications for a full-time 1.00 FTE, 12-month, fixed term, Assistant or Associate Professor Clinical, with reappointment at the discretion of the Director, or a full-time 1.00 FTE, 9-month, Tenure Track Assistant or Associate Professor position.
Appointment at the Assistant Professor rank is anticipated; however, appointment at a promoted rank may be considered depending upon the qualifications of the successful candidate.

The Physical Therapy Program is located at OSU-Cascades campus in Bend, Oregon. We seek a collaborative and growth oriented Assistant or Associate Professor to join our core faculty. The position is a full-time with the expectation of teaching, research, advising, and institutional/professional service. We encourage candidates who’s teaching expertise includes human physiology, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, or pharmacology to apply.
OSU-Cascades Physical Therapy program is housed in Ray Hall, a contemporary, net zero energy building on the expanding OSU-Cascades campus in Bend, Oregon. Facilities include didactic and clinical-skills classrooms, a large state-of-the-art human cadaver laboratory, a student lounge and private faculty offices. The program currently has 10 full-time core faculty and several part-time faculty. To support the active research programs of all core faculty our facilities also include cuttingedge biomechanics and exercise physiology research laboratories.
Established in 2001, OSU -Cascades currently enrolls more than 1,400 students in Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degree programs. The campus expanded to a four-year university in 2015 and opened in its current 128-acre campus in fall 2016. The Oregon legislature approved additional funding in 2017 and 2018 for continued campus expansion, which is currently in progress. The newest building, our Student Success Center, will open in February 2025. OSU -Cascades innovative degree programs are expected to drive enrollment growth to serve 3000-5000 students in central Oregon.

What You Will Need
Minimum qualifications for Tenure Track (Assistant or Associate Professor)
A terminal academic degree in a discipline related to physical therapy and health sciences from an accredited university prior to position start date (September 2nd, 2025)
Demonstrated ability to develop and sustain a research program that can be supported by the existing infrastructure at OSUCascades or in collaboration with OSU -Corvallis or industry
A record of peer-reviewed scholarly publications
Evidence of effectiveness in teaching at the graduate level
Minimum Qualifications For Clinical Track (Assistant Or Associate Professor)
Doctor of Physical Therapy degree
3 or more years of full-time clinical experience as a licensed physical therapist (Oregon eligible)
Academic teaching experience with DPT students
Potential to develop a line of scholarly inquiry that can be supported by the existing infrastructure at OSU -Cascades or in collaboration with OSU -Corvallis or industry.

- Board certified Clinical Specialist
- Completed ABPT Residency and or Fellowship training Postdoctoral training
- Clinical experience as a physical therapist
- Licensed Physical Therapist (Oregon eligible)
- Record of service to the profession
Working Conditions / Work Schedule
This position will require occasional travel, and some night/weekend work as determined by program needs.

The anticipated salary ranges are:
- 12-Month Assistant Professor (Clinical): $70,000-$90,000
- 12-Month Associate Professor (Clinical): $80,000-$100,000
- 9-Month Tenure Track Assistant Professor: $85,000-$105,000
- 9-Month Tenure Track Associate Professor: $90,000-$110,000
