This recruitment will be used to fill one full-time Custodial Services Coordinator position for University Housing and Dining Services at Oregon State University (OSU).
University Housing and Dining Services recognizes the importance of learning both in and out of the classroom, and supports the concept of education as an individual as well as a community experience. Our primary focus is service to OSU students. We strive to provide our students, faculty, staff, and guests with safe, economical, on-campus living and dining options that are convenient and comfortable. We offer a variety of living and dining options in 15 residence halls, four houses, three dining centers, and a limited number of family apartments and houses. Our Department is an auxiliary enterprise which is funded solely by customers who use our services — we receive no State or tax dollars. We work to maintain the highest educational and service standards for our customers. University Housing and Dining Services is committed to an appreciation for diversity, and fosters an open and respectful and enjoyable living, learning and working environment.

This position will adhere to all OSU and UHDS policies and procedures.
Custodial services for UHDS provides a clean, healthy, and presentable environment in all of its facilities. Custodians are committed to the overall success and satisfaction of UHDS students, customers, clients and guests and demonstrate this commitment through the work that they perform.
This position coordinates and provides custodial support for a side of campus consisting of at least one dining center and multiple residence halls. This position is responsible to monitor building standards, assure staffing needs are met, and provide training when necessary.

What We Require
Two years of experience in custodial services work.
What You Will Need
- Physical ability to perform work and two years of experience as a custodian, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Understand written and verbal instructions.
- Effectively interact and communicate in a variety of situations.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity and creating an equitable working environment.
This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per University Standard: 05-010 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months.

Working Conditions / Work Schedule
- These positions work in various environments including but not limited to: residence hall, office/work environment, apartment housing or dining center. These positions interact with residents and customers on a daily basis. Typical work shift is Saturday-Wednesday from 6:00 am – 4:30 pm, 5 days per week which may include weekends. Has the potential of serving in an on call rotation for after hours clean-up needs throughout the year.
