21.00 (Standard); $20.50 (Non-Urban); $21.50 (Portland Metro)Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (maximum of 24 hours per week) KBVR-TV Station Manager position for the Orange Media Network (OMN) at Oregon State University (OSU). The KBVR-TV Station Manager is responsible for supervising all student TV and video content for KBVR, including supervising a team of student producers and volunteers.Position Duties
KBVR-TV Station Manager Responsibilities : Supervise a team of TV show producers to create content for YouTube and broadcast. Work with producers to manage a regular YouTube uploading schedule and ensure all shows are complete prior to upload.Schedule and program channel 26 each week for 24-7 playout, scheduling live shows and reruns. Set the schedule one week in advance.Post shows to OrangeMediaNetwork.com within 24 hours of broadcast / premiere.Ensure all content on KBVR-TV (channel 26, online, and social media) is accurate, fair, engaging, and of high technical and ethical quality prior to broadcast.Take lead on originating, coordinating, and producing special broadcasts of events, collaborating with campus partners.Originate ideas and collaborate with outside organizations around campus and provide opportunities for students to pitch new shows.Seek out and create new opportunities for creative video content, including Twitch live streaming and social media.Update KBVR-TV social media accounts multiple times each day. Interact with followers, promote the station.Share links to live stream on social media prior to every live broadcast. Send link to each TV team member and all guests on the shows. Ensure TV show producers are sharing the link to the live stream with all show guests prior to every live broadcast.Share links to full channel-26 broadcast episodes on YouTube within 24 hours.Check and respond to Discord for project management.Fully participate in weekly OMN Student Leadership meetings.Work to ensure that OMN program content is current, relevant, and consistent with OMN’s mission, vision, and policies.Other duties as assigned by the adviser.Communication Responsibilities :
Meet regularly with OMN adviser to go over feedback and areas for improvement.Respond to emails, messages, team chats, and phone calls the same day, professionally representing OMN.Report monthly to the OMN Advisory Board, providing updates, analysis, and insightful information on engagement, staffing, strategies, and accolades.Hold and post 20 regular office hours each week for Orange Media Network, at least half of these hours should be during regular business hours (8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday). Hours may vary during different stages of the term.Follow all OMN policies and procedures and hold all staff and volunteers to them as well.Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study.Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment.Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard :
High School student : Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program.Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student : 6 credit hours per term.Undergraduate international student : 12 credit hours per term.Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School : 5 credit hours per term.Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School : 9 credit hours per term.

Comfortable shooting and editing video.Knowledgeable about live studio production.Knowledgeable about field video production.Strong writer, communicator, and comfortable with public speaking.Experienced with coaching and with giving and receiving feedback.Able to remain professional and calm when working with difficult individuals and situations.Knowledgeable and experienced in building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and partners.Served as a member of paid OMN staff for at least 6 months – or – as a volunteer OMN staff for at least 12 months.Preferred (Special) Qualifications
