Position Summary
This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Sewing Tech position for the Craft Center at Oregon State University (OSU).
Sewing Tech are responsible for giving studio orientations, advising students working on sewing projects, familiarizing beginners with the sewing machines, studio safety, managing inventory, organizing and cleaning studio and upkeeping equipment.
Position Duties
60% INSTRUCTION
- Demonstrate techniques during weekly tech time.
- Be knowledgeable of Craft Center policies and procedures as they relate to their expertise.
- Work with Craft Center Director to identify new ways to engage students and meet their crafty sewing needs.
- Participate in policy and procedures as it relates to their area of specialty.
- Conduct studio orientations and training.
30% STUDIO MANAGEMENT
10% OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
